The waves are very nice. For the hair dryer, CHI is a great brand. I bought my CHI haiyerrdr in Oct 2005. It is still running strong and it doesn't take me forever to dry my hair. I'm sorry I missed your post about hair advice. I have found a fabulous product called It's A 10 miracle leave-in product. It has 10 benefits for your hair.
