Hey there, just discovered your post baecuse I basically have the same problem. I'm not into matrix stuff that much but think there is a possibility to determine if the matrix has a negative scale. MatrixTransformer.getScaleY should always return the negative value of MatrixTransformer.getScaleX except when you have a negative scaleX/scaleY then the values are quite different
